In recent years, there has been a sharp increase in interest in LNG fleet. There are currently 163 gas-powered vessels in the world, and 155 are currently under construction. However, over recent years, the growth rate has remained rather stable at around 40 vessels per year.
– Indeed, we feel that there are more and more topics concerning all types of gas-powered units. IMO environmental regulations force shipowners to change their fuel range, which we can see today, although I think that the main effect of these activities is still ahead – says Adam Ślipy, President of Seatech Engineering Sp. z o.o.
