Oceanographic special purpose vessel
type:
research vessel for interdisciplinary research of the Baltic Sea
built year:
2016
Oceanograf is a 50 meters long catamaran designed from scratch by the Seatech Engineering team. The ship was built in 2016 by Nauta Shipyard in Gdynia, for the University of Gdansk, Institute of Oceanography. Oceanograf is the most modern research vessel sailing under a Polish! ag. It is highly precise in maneuvering (DP system), stable and energy efficient. One of the unique features of Oceanograf is very low immersion having only 2 meters. It allows free navigation in shallow waters of the southern regions of the Baltic Sea. The catamaran has been equipped with specialist equipment designated for interdisciplinary research of the Baltic Sea environment, i.e. sea flora, fauna and chemistry research, seismology, geology and ocean floor research. The vessel also allows fishing and storing for scientific purposes. Moreover, the Ocenograf will serve as an education unit for University students. The ship crew consists of 8 officers and sailors. The scientific crew can consist of up to 12 men. All crew members are quartered in comfortable cabins. The spatial structure ensures the crew with high spatial standards.

Seismic survey vessel
built year:
2011
The vessel is an advanced deep-sea ice Seismic research vessel intended to operate in most weather conditions all over the world and with good maneuverability and station keeping capabilities. The vessel shall be capable of towing up to 14 seismic streamers and 8 air gun arrays while recording seismological data. The energy source shall be high-pressure air-guns supplied by high-pressure air compressors. The main duty of the vessel will be performing seismic research operations. This combined with the above will imply:
– Towing of seismic equipment in 5 knots speed with pull force as specified under SFI 634
– In sea re-fuelling from the supply vessel
– Helicopter operations
– Target speed at design draft of about 16.5 knots in a calm sea

type:
Seismic survey vessel
built year:
2011
The vessel is advanced deep sea ice classed Multi Streamer Seismic research vessel designed for WW operations including Sub Arctic and Arctic areas. The vessel is designed for a comparatively high transit speed. The vessel is designed for towing up to 20 seismic streamers and 8 air gun arrays while recording seismological data. The energy source shall be high-pressure air-guns supplied by high-pressure air compressors operating at 2000 or 3000 psi. The vessel is designed for and to be constructed and built according to the following requirements for seismic operations:
« Deployment and recovery of seismic equipment
« Deployment and recovery of two seismic work boats
« At sea inline re-fuelling from a supply vessel
« Helicopter operations in compliance with relevant standards including Norwegian rules.
« Target speed at the 5.5m draft of about 18,5 knots at wind Beaufort 3
« For towing criteria: See SFI 634
